An artist who conveys warm messages of comfort to people of these times, Kim Jeeon's solo exhibition "Dandelion" is held at PBG the Hyundai Seoul. Dandelion, a species of yellow flowers that blooms in spring, has the meaning of happiness and gratitude. The exhibition provides an opportunity to meet Kim Jeeon's new works that extend to a point of new style and material use.
A duo exhibition of artists Kim Jeeon and Gammanzi “Harmony: Connected Hearts” showcases works that form psychological bonds within relationships with friends, family, lovers and colleagues. Kim Jeeon tells stories of comfort with his focus on ‘something’ that transcends results of people’s lives. Gammanzi on the other hand respects the mutual differences in multi-cultural contexts and seeks coexistence while unfolding the possibilities of harmony and renewed relationships. The exhibition hopes to explore the sense of solidarity and empathy with the artists works and narratives.
Kim Jeeon's work is a documentation of the dreams, hope and love of people living today, and is like a letter without reply, that I write every day. People, the feeling of love, times of dreaming, and the desire to become a better person than before serve as inspiration for his works. The artist wants to be someone who guards people’s dreams, love and hope. He longs for a scene in which many vulnerable and weak people become the light and love for one another. Such a world, where people can be together, is ultimately the art that he wants to achieve.
