PBG presents a solo exhibition of Yuya Hashizume from August 23 to 13 September, 2024. Titled “What a Wonderful World”, the exhibition is the second solo of the artist having with PBG. The exhibition consists of Hashizume’s new works of Explorer series embodying game-like world enriched with elements of Cyberpunk and contrast between digital and analog. In contrast to his previous show, Eyewater Common Jade, where he reinterpreted the colors of traditional Korean ceramics into paintings, exhibition "What a Wonderful World" showcases an array of new works with more direct approach inspired by the present Japan, aniamtions he has always liked since childhood, and his experience visiting Seoul.

Exhibiting globally, He is renowned for iconic "eyewater" series that portrays figures shedding a drop of tears before solid color backgrounds. In contrast to the bright and vibrant colors that the artist uses, his works resonate with sorrow hidden deep inside our minds.
Rondi Park examines the extremely personal traces surrounding desires and expands the category to popular sympathy and social phenomena. The artist who collects fragments of desire seething in a capitalist society and develops them into various media - such as painting, textiles, performance, and ceramics - develops her own narrative using the constantly reproduced desires as a medium.
